My Story

Becoming The Leveled Woman
Before I became the woman I am today, I was a little girl trying to understand a world I wasn't prepared for.
Like many young girls, I had questions I didn't always know how to ask. Who am I? Where do I belong? Am I enough? What is my purpose? Without realizing it, I carried some of those questions with me into adulthood.
Life became one of my greatest teachers. I learned through relationships that didn't always work, a broken marriage, heartbreak, motherhood, the devastating loss of a child, friendships that changed, and moments when I had to look at myself and acknowledge that some of the choices I made contributed to the life I was experiencing.
For years, I thought strength meant enduring. I thought loving people meant accepting them as they were, even when doing so came at the expense of my own peace. I didn't always understand the difference between loving someone and losing myself trying to maintain a relationship with them.
As I grew older, I began to understand that becoming whole required more than surviving what happened to me. It required me to examine myself.
I had to learn about boundaries. I had to learn forgiveness—not only forgiving others but forgiving myself for choices I made when I didn't yet have the wisdom I have today. I had to learn accountability, self-worth, and the importance of healthy relationships. Most importantly, I had to understand that love should not require me to sacrifice who I am in order to receive it.
Eventually, I learned what it feels like to experience love differently—to have a relationship where I could feel safe being myself, where my voice mattered, and where I didn't have to surrender my power to be loved.
That didn't erase my past.
My experiences didn't write the ending of my story. They helped me understand it.
Writing became a way for me to look back at the different versions of myself with greater understanding. What began years ago as a way to escape the parts of life I didn't know how to process eventually became a place for healing, reflection, self-discovery, and purpose.
Through writing, I began connecting the little girl I once was to the woman I had become. I could finally see how childhood experiences, relationships, loss, mistakes, love, faith, and the lessons life taught me had all contributed to my growth.
That journey became The Leveled Woman.
My first book, The Leveled Woman, looks back at the early experiences, mindsets, and circumstances that shaped me from girlhood into womanhood. It is about recognizing the things we carry with us—sometimes without even realizing we are carrying them—and beginning the work of breaking cycles and becoming whole.
My second book, The Leveled Woman: Walking In Power With Intentions & Intimacy, continues that journey. It reflects the woman who has learned that growth doesn't end when you recognize your past. There comes a time when you must take what life has taught you and intentionally decide how you want to live, love, establish boundaries, protect your peace, and value yourself.
Today, I don't share my story because I believe I have lived a perfect life. I share it because I haven't.
I have made mistakes. I have experienced heartbreak. I have loved, lost, questioned myself, started over, and grown. And through all of it, I have learned that becoming a leveled woman isn't about reaching a place where life never challenges you again.
It's about knowing yourself well enough that life's challenges no longer have the power to define you. It is a continual process of rising, a commitment to showing up for yourself even when the path is uncertain. By embracing every chapter of my evolution, I have found a strength that is grounded in truth rather than performance, allowing me to finally walk in the fullness of who I was always meant to be.

The Journey That Shaped Me
Where It Began
Writing began as an escape—a place for thoughts and feelings that seemed to consume me. Before I became an author, the pages gave me somewhere to go when life felt difficult.
The Turning Point
My turning point came when I realized that healing required more than simply surviving what I had been through. I had to understand my experiences, recognize what they had taught me, and become intentional about changing what no longer felt right for my life.
The Leveled Woman
Becoming a Leveled Woman didn't mean that I had everything figured out. It meant learning to value myself, protect my peace, accept my imperfections, and understand that growth doesn't require perfection. I learned to use what life had taught me to live with intention and purpose.

Insights & Takeaways
I have learned that growth doesn't happen all at once, and it doesn't always happen when we expect it. Sometimes growth begins when we become willing to look honestly at ourselves, our choices, our relationships, and even the things we once accepted as normal. The greatest lessons in my life have not always come from what happened to me, but from what I was willing to learn from it.
One of the greatest lessons I have learned is that becoming a Leveled Woman doesn't mean becoming perfect. I am still learning, growing, and discovering things about myself. The difference is that today I am more intentional about how I live, what I allow into my life, and how I protect my peace. I have learned to value who I am, trust the wisdom I have gained, and use the lessons from my past to help shape the life I am still creating.
